Free Ballet Master Class

with Amanda McKerrow and John Gardner

Ballet Chesapeake and the Maryland Center for the Arts are partnering to offer a free ballet master class with legendary American Ballet Theater Artists, Amanda McKerrow and John Gardner.

Date: Sunday, May 28, 2017
Time: 12noon-2pm

Location:  Dance Conservatory of Maryland:  701 Whitaker Mill Rd  Joppa, MD 21085 ​

Description:  Intermediate to advanced level students (ages 11 and up) are invited to register for a free, two-hour ballet master class taught by Amanda McKerrow and John Gardner, former members of the American Ballet Theatre.  Parents and visitors are welcome to register to observe the class. 

Admission is free, and pre-registration is required.  $25 suggested donation to support the Maryland Center for the Arts.

THE DREAM@50 is a 2013 tribute series to commemorate the 50th anniversary of MLK's "I Have a Dream" speech. Including a student art contest, a world flash mob dance, video PSAs, and a feature documentary, THE DREAM@50 is a partnership of Karz Productions with the United Nations (Academic Impact), UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization), YouTube, Americans for the Arts, National Dance Education Organization, Dance/USA, International Theatre Institute, Global Arts Link, Arts Schools Network, National Art Education Association, National Education Association, National Council for the Social Studies, National Council of Teachers of English, Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, CBS Outdoor, and public school systems, museums, public libraries, airports, and mass transit systems in ten featured U.S. cities.
